Recovery That Fits Your Life

Samarpan's Addiction IOP is designed for individuals with problematic alcohol and/or substance use who have professional or family commitments that prevent them from entering a residential program.

The IOP provides all of the clinical advantages of a residential program in a community setting — and is also an ideal step-down option for those completing inpatient care.

⚠️ Please note: This is an abstinence-based program. All participants must commit to sobriety and are subject to regular drug and alcohol testing throughout.

Who the IOP Is Designed For

This program suits motivated adults who want structured, clinically led support for substance use — without stepping away from daily life.

Struggling with problematic alcohol or substance use

Unable to commit to a residential program due to work or family

Stepping down from inpatient care and wanting ongoing structured support

Motivated to achieve and maintain sobriety in a group setting

Looking for internationally accredited, evidence-based addiction treatment

Ready to commit to regular attendance and abstinence for 8 weeks

Also Ideal for Step-Down Care

Completing a residential program is a major milestone — but recovery continues. The IOP provides a structured bridge back to everyday life, maintaining therapeutic intensity while rebuilding independence.

Step-down support helps with:

  • Consolidating skills from residential care
  • Relapse prevention in real-world settings
  • Continued group accountability and peer support
  • Reintegrating into work and family life

Frequently Asked Questions

What substances does this program address?

Problematic alcohol and/or substance use, including prescription medication misuse. Other process addictions are assessed at intake.

What is the abstinence requirement?

This is an abstinence-based program. Participants commit to sobriety from day one and undergo regular drug and alcohol testing. Those unable to maintain abstinence may be referred to Samarpan's residential program.

Can I attend if I'm already seeing a therapist or psychiatrist?

Yes. The IOP includes its own psychiatric consultations but can complement existing care. Please discuss any ongoing treatment with the clinical team at intake.

How is this different from regular outpatient counselling?

Significantly more intensive — 32 structured sessions over 8 weeks including individual therapy, group work, psychiatric support, and dedicated relapse prevention. The group format and abstinence accountability make it a fundamentally different level of care.

Is this suitable as a step-down from residential care?

Yes — the IOP is specifically designed to support individuals transitioning from inpatient treatment, providing structured ongoing support as they return to everyday life.

Are sessions available online?

No. The Addiction IOP is conducted in-person only. The group format and real-time clinical oversight are central to the program's effectiveness.

Need a Higher Level of Care?

If a residential program is more appropriate, Samarpan Recovery offers internationally accredited inpatient rehabilitation in Mulshi, Pune — built and led by the same clinical team.
