What is panic disorder?
Panic attacks can feel like they ‘come out of nowhere’. At Samarpan, we help you understand what's happening, feel more in control, and learn simple ways to calm your mind and body.
Panic disorder can make everyday life feel unpredictable and overwhelming. Sudden panic attacks, constant worry about when the next one might happen, and avoiding certain places or situations can start to limit your routine and confidence. The good news is that our team at Samarpan can help you manage your panic attacks and improve your life.
Panic disorder feels like your body suddenly going into alarm mode out of nowhere. You might notice your heart racing, feel breathless or dizzy, and wonder what's happening. Over time, it's not just the attacks, but the fear of them coming back that can take over, making you avoid certain places or situations. The right support can help you understand these reactions and learn how to manage them with confidence.

Not sure if it's panic disorder?
A short, confidential self-assessment can help you decide whether it’s time to talk to someone.
Causes of panic disorder
- Stress and life events: Big changes, ongoing stress, or past trauma can trigger panic.
- Anxiety patterns: A tendency to worry or overthink can make the body more sensitive to fear.
- Body's alarm system: Sometimes the body reacts as if there's danger, even when there isn't.
- Genetics: It can run in families, so some people may be more prone to it.
- Physical factors: Poor sleep, caffeine, or certain health conditions can increase symptoms.
